Freightgate has joined with PayCargo to create a service that automates the validation and settlement of invoices for ocean transportation. Freightgate is a provider of various supply-chain and transportation services, with headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif. PayCargo is a vendor of electronic invoicing and settlement applications. The alliance combines Freightgate's rate-management and e-invoice validation products with PayCargo's invoice-management and settlement tool. The joint offering is designed to provide carriers and their customers with a fully automated means of processing all transportation freight invoices and settlement, the partners said. Freightgate's Pay-Trek! freight-invoice management application helps shippers to protect cash flow by catching mischarges before payment. PayCargo's electronic invoice presentment and payment system aims to reduce the cost of approving and disputing payments.
