Intermec Inc. has created the SG20 family of handheld barcode scanners. The units incorporate fast 2D imaging technology for omnidirectional scanning, as well as a large, multi-color LED display. They were designed to accelerate the scanning process in retail, healthcare and general countertop scanning applications. The SG20 series features a natural smooth grip and trigger location suited for everyday use. Models are available with 1D linear or 2D high-performance imagers, and either Bluetooth cordless or corded connectivity. All integrate seamlessly with point-of-sale systems, personal computers, healthcare information and warehouse-management systems, according to Intermec. The company's line of products includes rugged mobile computing and data-collection systems, voice technology, barcode printers, label media and radio frequency identification applications.
