According to the vendor, the integrated tools support the business cycle from concept generation and product development to sourcing, manufacturing, sales and finance. By connecting product development and production processes, the vendors aim to reduce the time it takes for a new product to reach the market. The applications share data across systems and between brands, divisions and departments. Infor10PLM Process and M3 ERP Enterprise have been brought together and pre-configured using Infor10 ION, Infor's integration platform. It operates with a standard business language, to provide a connection that is "unbreakable" by software upgrades, patches or enhancements, Infor claimed. Infor10 ION Workspace provides a common user interface across PLM, ERP and other Infor applications. In the process, Infor said, it minimizes the risk of a recall while managing compliance and labeling, and reducing the impact of product issues.
