The label’s design features an integrated UCODE 7 chip from NXP Semiconductors. It comes with optimal read/write sensitivity for accurate counting and quicker encoding, Checkpoint said, adding that the label is especially well-suited for retailers deploying large-scale implementations. Offered with a label size of 54x34mm, the Zephyr 2 has been optimized for performance with all of Checkpoint’s RFID technology, including its RFID EAS Overhead Solution, the EVOLVE Exclusive E10 pedestal, and other Merchandise Visibility offerings. In another company announcement, Checkpoint has entered into a global partnership with Mojix, Inc., a provider of wide-area, fixed infrastructure, passive RFID tools. The deal combines Checkpoint’s Merchandise Visibility with Mojix’s OmniSenseRF inventory tracking system for retail.
